Recently, Major Dalim joined a special live session on journalist Elias Hossain's personal YouTube channel, where he discussed his life and various recent issues.
Major Dalim is a former officer of the Bangladesh Army. He has long been accused of involvement in the assassination of then-President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family.
On Sunday, December 5, at 9 PM, expatriate journalist Elias Hossain hosted him on his YouTube channel for this special live session.
During the session, Major Dalim shared his involvement in the Liberation War, saying, "Having knowledge of operations, we set out in the name of Allah and easily reached Delhi, where the Prime Minister's principal secretary received the three of us. Then, various discussions took place."
He further added, "After reaching Delhi, we were trained for a few days and then handed over to the Mujibnagar government. Upon returning, Moti and I were appointed as guerrilla advisors. This meant we were responsible for training and conducting operations for freedom fighters in the 11 sectors. We divided the 11 sectors between the two of us."
Recalling the struggles during the Liberation War, he mentioned, "I was injured several times during the war."
While discussing the independence movement, he stated, "Later, five forces, including the army, were formed. I recruited around 25,000 former freedom fighters who fought under us into various forces. That is a brief synopsis of our independence movement."
It is noteworthy that at the beginning of the Liberation War, Major Dalim was in Pakistan. On April 20, 1971, he escaped from Pakistan to India, where he actively joined the Liberation War. For his exceptional bravery and contributions, he was awarded the title of "Bir Uttam."
